Gas Engine Field Service Engineer
As a result of sustained growth and workload, our client has created an opportunity for a Gas Engine Field Service Engineer to service and maintain their fleet.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the business during a pivotal phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preventative, corrective, major, and minor engine maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problematic gas engine issues
- Maintain accurate records and stock levels, including ordering parts
- Assist with or perform engine overhauls
- LV troubleshooting and basic electrical repair
- Open forum – recommend and suggest improvements
- Communicate clearly with your team members and leaders
- Learn and develop your knowledge base in the power generation sector
Key Skills:
- 2- 3 years experience in the Power Generation sector industry with relevant engine experience.
- A mechanical engine background with proven engine overhaul and control panel knowledge.
- Marine, Truck, and Vehicle industry at a minimum.
- LV Electrical knowledge
- Engine inspection
- Understanding of reciprocating diesel or gas engines and inner workings.
- Strong communication and interaction skills
- Engine knowledge that can be built upon
Benefits:
- Salary £38,000 – £42,000
- On-call allowance of £150 per week (on-call 1 in 3). 7 days a week with a 2200/2300 cut-off time
- The working week is 45 hours. If an engineer works more than 45 hours a week, TOIL will be given
- £3k Bonus at the end of the year
