Renew Consultancy is excited to be recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to join a leading company in the power generation industry. This role is perfect for a driven professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service and managing operations in a fast-paced, technical environment.

About the Role:

As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day service operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to customers while maintaining and improving service standards. You will manage a team of engineers and technicians, driving performance to meet customer expectations, and ensure equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the service team, ensuring all service operations are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Develop and implement service strategies that align with company goals and customer needs.
  • Oversee service contracts and client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and technical support for planned and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for complex issues, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team development and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or in a similar role within the power generation or related technical sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Excellent knowledge of power generation systems, including engines, generators, CHP, and other related equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Experience managing service contracts and delivering to high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or relevant technical qualifications in power generation or mechanical/electrical disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role in the power generation or a related technical field.
  • Full UK driving licence.
