Renew Consultancy is seeking an exceptional Operations Director to join a key client in the power generation industry. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is a critical part of the senior management team, with responsibility for the engineering and project management functions.
As a pivotal figure in the company’s growth and diversification efforts, the Operations Director will drive operational improvements and help execute the company’s ambitious strategic roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering and project management teams, ensuring efficient operational delivery across projects.
- Develop and implement processes that improve operational excellence, efficiency, and quality.
- Drive cultural and operational changes to achieve growth and diversification targets.
- Oversee project portfolio management, including execution, budgeting, and ensuring quality standards.
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads to align project objectives with business goals.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, supporting sales efforts and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Identify opportunities for creation and exploitation, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
- Monitor project outcomes, conducting reviews and audits to ensure continuous improvement.
- Champion a high-performance culture, ensuring accountability and collaboration across the team.
About You:
- A proven leader with a minimum of 15 years of experience in senior engineering roles, preferably in a consultancy or fees-for-service environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing teams of 30+ personnel.
- Excellent leadership and change management skills, with a track record of driving organisational change in line with strategic objectives.
- Strong business acumen, able to make informed decisions, manage budgets, and identify growth opportunities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, fostering collaboration across teams and with clients.
- Experience in overseeing resource management, productivity metrics, and project delivery processes.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience
